All my students submit their assignments electronically now - either through assignment links on Blackboard (preferred) or by email. This afternoon I needed to remind a student of content we covered in class in response to an incorrect response in her homework. Instead of typing out the answer, I was able to use Skitch to grab a shot of the relevant PowerPoint slide from the lecture and then copy that image into the student's workfile with my response. I love Skitch! It enabled me to show you this screen shot of the student paper with ease!

If you don't count word processing instead of writing by hand, Skitch is the program that saves me more time than any other program I can think of. I would hate to have to do without it.
Have you discovered the trick of taking a snapshot of a whole window by choosing "crosshair snapshot" and simply clicking once in the window you want to capture?
